100+ Live Plants – $10
Azolla caroliniana, commonly known as Azolla, is a small, fast-growing floating aquatic fern that forms an attractive green mat across the water surface. Under certain growing conditions, the foliage can develop beautiful reddish tones.
Ideal for ponds, water gardens, tubs and suitable outdoor aquatic setups. Azolla is also well known for its association with nitrogen-fixing microorganisms and has traditionally been used in agriculture as green manure/biofertiliser and investigated as a biomass/biofuel crop.
